Catching Up

We celebrated Claire's 1st birthday with friends and family on April 18. Then I spent a week organizing and storing all the pictures many people took. I was getting ready for a full day of scrap booking. As I was going through all those pictures I realized that I hadn't posted any fun pictures from our day at the zoo or from Easter. Here they are. I'll get to her birthday party after this.

THE ZOO, April 10 :

On Friday before Easter, the Mom's Group decided to take the kids to the zoo to see the barn yard babies. It was really fun. Claire really liked the pen of baby chicks. They were about 4 inches tall, waddled around, and made a lot of noise. Quite hilarious for a pre-toddler:) Her next favorite, and probably most favorite were the baby goats. The zoo sold bags of goat treats that people could feed them over the fence. So of course the goats assumed that anyone near the fence was there to feed them a treat. Claire really thought that was funny and wanted SO badly to have a bag of treats to feed the goats. I finally let her up to the fence when all the goats were on the other side. But one of the adults snuck around the outer edge right up to her and liked her fingers. HA HA HA. Claire really got a kick out of this. I on the other hand went running to the stroller to get a hand wipe and scrub her off. What a sad mom am I :)

EASTER April 12:

We went to my folks house for Easter afternoon. Claire wore her beautiful dress. Most of my family was there and we spent the day eating great food, lots of candy, and watching Claire perfect her skills of walking while pushing things - chairs, push toys, other toys, the coffee table, her wagon - you get the picture.
