More fun than imaginable!

We've been having a lot of fun lately. The most fun has been swimming lessons for the past 2 weeks. She's gotten the hang of "floating" on her front and kicking her feet. She still doesn't like floating on her back. I don't really blame her. Not being able to see what's in front or below you takes a little getting used to. but we're working on it. We tried out life vests the other day and she didn't like that at all. It probably would have helped if they had one small enough for her. Last night we broke out the baby pool for her to practice in. She had tons of fun! She kicked her feet and splashed her hands and chased her trucks, the whale and shark, a big purple ball, a small yellow ball, and a couple sticks around. It was the best 90 minutes of her life - at least that she can remember so far :)

Other fun things:
A couple Saturdays ago we spent the night at Grandpa Collin's house. She cried all night and we couldn't figure it out. Then I read a friend's blog to find out her daughter has been teething again, so I checked Claire out and sure enough she had an upper molar just starting to poke through. Well, that explained that! Since then she's gotten the other upper molar and now she's working on the lower left one. Hopefully she'll get them all in now and be done teething for a while again!

We spent that Sunday at a WORS bike race in Wausau. Claire really enjoys these races. So long as she gets to be outside and mom or dad is within sight she's happy as a clam. Plus, at these races there are a lot of dogs and people to smile and wave at!

Last Saturday we had a couple friends from our bike team over for a barbecue. One of the families has two little girls - 6 and 4. They are the dynamic duo for sure! We put out a kiddie pool and a sprinkler and the girls ran around these, in the house, out of the house, up the deck and down the deck for a couple hours without stopping! That's a lot of energy! Claire had a blast trying to follow them around. She hadn't been in the kiddie pool yet, but she was definitely thinking about it.

Last Sunday we went to a family reunion at a park in Wisconsin and it rained the whole time! Again though, there was a park and mom and dad, so she was ok. Most of the afternoon she dragged Cal - in the rain - around the park. She really enjoys playing on swings. Cal is a fabulous dad and put his own comfort aside - did I mention the rain? - so that Claire could have fun. My cousin has 4 daughters ranging from 3 to 14, and Claire also spent a lot of time following them around and copying what they were doing. They are good girls and didn't mind her at all.

Life's fast. Gotta keep up!
