Duck, duck, goose egg

She had her latest wellness check up last night, so of course we had an exciting afternoon. We were playing with the garden hose in the back yard. She came running through the water right at me, slipped, and ran forehead first into my shin bone. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (her, not me) I'm sure they could hear her all the way to the clinic in Edina! Her appointment was just 2 hours away, and here she had her first true goose egg in the middle of her fore head! What will they say?!!!!

Her appointment went well. They didn't even mention her goose egg. She's growing pretty steadily, and has even hit the weight chart for the first time since last October!
  • Height - 29 1/2 inch - 25%
  • Head Circumference - 18 in. - also 25%
  • Weight - 18 lb, 7 oz - 5% yippie!

Kids have to be 20 lb before they can face forward in the car. At this rate, maybe she'll get a new car seat for Christmas. Ok, I can't really complain. She's much easier to carry around than most of the other kids we know, and with her short little legs, she can't reach up to the counters yet and her climbing options are limited.

Like most of the women in our family, she has low iron, so we've been supplementing. They had to prick her finger to do a blood test. OUCH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think they could hear her all the way back to our house! Then she got two boosters. Very traumatic! Fortunately it was bed time when we got home, so she pretty much just went to sleep when we got home.

She's still tired today, but I think she's either teething again, or the ragweed is getting to her like it is to me! Poor girl has her mommy's allergies! Oh well, that's life for some of us.
